Menands School PTA's School Bucks Drive Featured in the Troy Record

By Administrator - Posted on 24 November 2011

The Meands School PTA and Community efforts to participate in the Colonie Center School Bucks program have recently been featured in the Troy Record! The Colonie Center School Bucks program allus us to earn "School Bucks" in the race for prizes for the top 3 schools.

The idea is simple. If you bring your original receipts to the guest services desk, located at the lower level of the mall, after you’ve shopped or dined at one of its retailers or gone to the movies, your school will receive one school buck point for each dollar spent.

“We’ve taken the approach that participating is cost effective and saves our PTA from doing a separate, sales-driven fundraiser,” said Fawn Montanye, PTA president. “We’ve combined the efforts of our sales of the Enjoy the City Coupon Book we use for fundraising in September with the School Bucks program, as many coupons in that book can be used at Colonie Center.”
