Approved Minutes of
the January 7, 2010 PTA General Membership Meeting

Welcome and reading of ee cummings, “O Sweet Spontaneous,”
by Lisa Neuman, PTA President.

MOTION #1 – to accept the minutes of the 11/19/09 general
membership meeting made by Mrs. Price and seconded by Mrs. Mattice.  Motion passed.

Treasurer’s Report – comments:

            There
were deposits made in November (but 2^nd page of report had not been
copied) for “Enjoy the City” fundraiser – rough estimate is about $1,600.00.

MOTION #2: Brian Rozmierski moved to void the uncashed check
payable to Madhaven Elangovan from June 2007 and redeposit the funds into
account.  Mrs. Mattice 2nded;
motion passed.

Pancake Breakfast at Applebee’s coming up –

•  Tarasha McCoy commented on a recent fundraiser she attended
  at Applebee’s indicating that they have changed some of the operating methods
  for the better.  She and Lisa will
  discuss further.
  •  Mary Beth Rossier will take care of 50/50 at the event.
  •  An
    announcement flyer will go home with students next week.
  • Announcement should be put in Village newsletter

Movie Night – membership voted on selection;  Hotel
for Dogs won the majority vote.

Spaghetti Dinner – This will be Sheri Hayes last year as
Chair; looking for someone to shadow her and take over the Chair position next
year.

Nominating Committee – positions that will be open for next
year are President, 2^nd VP and Recording Secretary.  Committee is supposed to be formed in
February to identify nominees for the listed positions.

New Business

Mrs. Meany spoke to the membership about the School Board
and Administration putting forth a referendum for building renovations
including:

1. Fill in pit in library
2. New carpet in library, computer lab and hallway
3. Emergency door
4. N&E walls and windows in middle school wing

Public voting will take place on March 16.

Next meeting is February 3 @6:30 p.m.

MOTION #3 to adjourn by Brian Rozmierski and seconded by
Catherine Mattice; passed.
