Policy Summary

The Menands School PTA does not sell or rent member information to anyone. Member information is given to the New York State PTA as required by our bylaws. The Menands School PTA uses state-of-the-art technologies and processes to protect and secure any information it collects.

Information Collected

When you apply for membership, the Menands School PTA asks for basic information, such as your name, street address, and e-mail address. As explained in the Questions and Answers below, the Menands School PTA may ask for additional information when you visit http://www.menandsschoolpta.org/. All of this information helps the Menands School PTA better serve members and improve programs.

Information Sharing

The Menands School PTA does not sell or rent member information to telemarketers, mailing list brokers, or other companies. The Menands School PTA does provide member information to the New York State PTA, as required by our bylaws. The Menands School PTA may also disclose member information when required to do so by law or when such action is necessary or appropriate to comply with legal process served on the national organization, to protect and defend the rights or property of the Menands School PTA, or to protect the personal safety of users of the the Menands School PTA website. The Menands School PTA reserves the right to contact the appropriate authorities when visitors' activities appear to be illegal or inconsistent with Menands School PTA policies.

Finally, the Menands School PTA may sometimes share aggregate statistics and non-personal information with the members, and other third parties.
